Thermal trio was formed in 2000 and they have performed in Canada, Austria and France. Their music is generally loud and energetic.

François Couture writes about the trio's performance in their album Thermal (released by Unsounds Records):

"If on first listen Thermal gives the impression of an all-out "let's burn the house down" meeting, subsequent listens reveal the subtle strategies and lace work underpinning it."

Thomas Lehn is a pianist and electronic musician with a background in classical, contemporay classical and jazz music. He has worked with a number of well - known improvisors, including Paul Lovens, Evan Parker, Phil Minton, Axel Dörner and Gerry Hemingway.
