John Butcher - saxophones
Chris Burn and John Butcher have a long history of collaboration which starts in the 1970s. Past projects include Chris Burn's ENSEMBLE and Jazz Ensemble, while numerous others followed in the coming years. They have only recorded one album as a duo called Fonetiks in 1984. Currently Chris Burn is a key member in the John Butcher group.

Chris Burn is a pianist and trumpeter that has worked in the contemporary dance and jazz field. As an improvisor, he has developed his own techniques. Although sceptic about his influences, he was introduced from an early age to Wagner and jazz musicians such as Coltrane and Coleman.
